Begin your Spanish learning journey in a welcoming, supportive, and relaxed environment designed especially for older adults. This course is tailored to your pace, with a slower, comfortable rhythm that allows you to feel confident and at ease as you learn step by step. You will be introduced to essential vocabulary, basic expressions, and simple sentence structures that help you communicate in everyday situations. Lessons are practical, engaging, and focused on real-life use, with plenty of opportunities to practice speaking, listening, and interacting in a friendly setting. No previous experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn. The course also encourages social connection, making language learning an enjoyable and enriching experience. By the end of this level, you will be able to understand and use basic Spanish in simple conversations, introducing yourself, asking questions, and engaging in everyday interactions. The scope of this course is 24 hours for small groups up to 8 students. With a regular group of 8 or more students, there will be 12 classes of 2 hours each, totaling 24 instructional hours. However, with a smaller group of 6 students, there will be 8 classes of 2 hours each, totaling 18 instructional hours, resulting in the course ending earlier. Please note that a minimum of 5 students is required for the course to be offered.
