About the event
Sol de Nagano is a Spanish poetry collection, presented in three parts, and showcasing elements of South Asian culture. Confluences is the first part, a mental space introduced as if a library of everyday emotions were riding in the upheaval of pandemic crisis. The analogy between a Korean calligraphy, Hangul Simnun, and building towards a new writing mode is central to the second part, Sign, about creativity, narrative lines, and existence; finally, in Poetic footsteps, I attempted to describe a poetic means of expresión in a prose poem. As such, it is experimental, and venturing into the next area of poetic writing. I edited the texts and designed the layout for the front cover, in collaboration with Mexican artist, Yaiza Lopez and with a Japanese photographer, Kodaikawahara. The cover photograph depicts the Japanese Mount Fuji along with an imprint of the poetic shadow of the Nagano's sun, an overpowering sun shining over the mountain.
